Our daughter Willemijn had private English lessons with Marie-Anne twice a week for an entire school year. Prior to meeting Marie-Anne, Willemijn had reached a point in her diverse educational experience where we realized she had not studied enough English at school. Her aim was to gain confidence in her spoken and written English, and thanks to Marie-Anne she became more confident in her ability to use the language. How wonderful to have private lessons from someone who believes in the student’s ability to learn. Strict when she needs to be, yet kind throughout, Marie-Anne shows her dedication to her students through her expertise and patience.

Daan had after-school tutoring for a solid year elsewhere and was never very happy where he was. As he found it a cold and boring environment, we concluded that this was not the place for him to be for extra-curricular help. When he met Marie-Anne, however, he was immediately at home in her warm and friendly house filled with family pets. Marie-Anne is strict yet fair with her students. She knows how to explain matters to them and is very clear in her methods. My child is very happy to go study and do his homework with her, and the result is very positive. Our au pair Miesel has followed a Dutch language class with Marie-Anne. It was a great relief for her to be able to learn Dutch in such a personal and flexible manner. Marie-Anne's help was fabulous and met the needs Miesel had as an au pair in order to be able to communicate with our family. Marie-Anne's Dutch lessons helped our family a lot as she helped our children and Miesel better communicate each day. I would highly recommend her lessons to any host family looking to better communication between themselves and their non-Dutch-speaking au pair!

Isabelle was at the end of her first year of high school when she had a serious accident. Her second year consisted of rehabilitation. Isabelle suffers from concentration problems and cannot read long pieces. Isabelle has had tutoring here and there but did not click, and results were poor! Last year we came into contact with Marie-Anne and to this day, are very happy with her. Isabelle gets good grades again and is always happy to be with Marie-Anne. A nice touch is that as a parent, you do not need to fight about homework, as that is usually already done or prepared by Marie-Anne!

Dear Marie-Anne, I had English tutoring from you twice a week. I had missed English classes in my previous school years. Your tutoring was always enormously instructive, fun and the lessons! I have learned a lot from you. I have just turned 19 and am currently working in a big international jumping stables and speak to many international people and that now is so much better because I now know basis well.
